FKW 103 MAUMERE CULTURAL KELIMUTU WONDER 4 Days / 3 Nights



 Day 01 ARRIVAL MAUMERE
The afternoon program is visiting Doka, a hamlet about 18 km south east of Maumere locally known for it’s fertile land and rich in exotic tropical plants and fruits. One will be entertained with dances and folksongs accompanied with local dishes and drinks. There is chance to comprehend more about Ikat Weaving - the well-known tie-dyeing weaving technique.


Day 02 MAUMERE - MONI or DETUSOKO
There are place around the town worth to be visited, such as Maumere market, Wuring - the fisherman village with houses built on stilts and Ledalero Museum. Lunch en route. During the day you will experience the dramatic change in both nature pattern and ethnicity. In the afternoon you will find yourself in the Lio ethnic’s environment. Day 03 DETUSOKO/MONI - KELIMUTU - MAUMERE
It is worth to experience the sunrise at Kelimutu - the three colored crater lakes (start at about 4.00 o’clock). Once arrive in Kelimutu one will find something like nowhere, incomparable with known told stories - photos or even moving pictures have seen before. Drive then down hill and visit some villages (Koanara and Ranggase with traditional houses) to comprehend the Lio ethnic’s daily life and to understand their work of civilization. Day 04 MAUMERE - NEXT DESTINATION
